Year-Round Facility

 

Bailiwick Lodge

This heated facility is complete with a kitchen, sleeps 16 on mattresses and is accessible by wheelchair.  There is a refrigerator, stove, microwave and fireplace. A laterine is nearby. Adjacent running water is only available April to October.

Main Lodge

The Main Lodge is the central meeting place for visitors to gather and enjoy the lakefront. A commerical kitchen is available for an additional fee.  There is a handicap use only toilet, latrines are nearby. The showerhouses are just a short walk.  The large stone fireplace and front and back porches increase the charm of the lodge.

 

Village Units

There are four units with four cabins each. Each cabin sleeps eight with a total of 28 per  unit. The showerhouses are nearby. Those units are: Laura Ingalls Wilder, Christa McCauliffe, Susan B. Anthony, and Harriet Tubman. Each unit has a pavilion with refrigerator, and a fire circle. The Laura Ingalls Wilder unit is wheelchair accessible. 

 

Merrywomen Unit

The platform tent unit sleeps 28.  There is a pavilion with tables, two firecircles, and latrines.

 

Windjammer Unit

Sleeps 21 in seven lean-to units. There are two firecircles and a pavilion; and latrines.

 

Primitive Site

You can pitch your own tents to sleep up to 30 persons. There is a pavilion with tables, a firecircle and latrines are nearby

 

 
Features

Bailiwick Lodge has its own entrance from Route 89 and is available year-round.  (Running water is only available mid-April to mid-October.)  The rest of the program center is seasonal, by reservation mid-April to mid-October, with limited use during the summer when council-sponsored camp programs are in session.

Activities

The site has a swim area, trails, archery field, sand volleyball court, picnic tables on the waterfront, hot showers, flush toilets, a commercial kitchen/dining hall (maximum seating is 100), recycling. You may also request use of the canoes and rowboats.  For watercraft and swimming you must provide a certified adult lifeguard.
